OPEN UNIVERSITIES IN AIZAWL

Let us share how Open Universities sound to you! I want to know your ideas about Open Universities like Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) especially in Aizawl City, the place where I dwell in.

To me, this Open Universities are same with other universities because their courses are approved by UGC. They provide students with valuable text-books free of costs. They also supported students with multimedia such as CD, Cassette, etc. They also used to have some programs throught telecasts where the viewer can also ask their problems. In this regard, IGNOU will be the leader.

But i didnot suggest for students who could go through regular studies. As it is an open universities, there are marely only one or two classes in a week. Therefore, it is not adviceable for those regular learners. In case of Aizawl, Open Universities needs more resource persons, more classes to be work well.

What is your idea about this! Please comment.

I have a problem in connect to server or internet using mIRC and Yahoo Messenger! "Connection Refused" is the error message from these chatting software. But I can browse any website whatever I like! I don't the reason why? I am using firewall as well as Norton Internet Security with latest updates! Is this due to those security software. If any one can answer my problem I will be very glad!

Computer Hang!

My computer at home is P4 1.8GHtz, 256MB DDR RAM, 40GB HDD and internal Modem running Windows XP Professional. It is working fine before i used internet from this computer. But it used to stop responding now, and when I try to restart my computer, it takes very long time to boot up. Sometimes, not boot and remains even power is ON. This problem occurs only after I connect internet from this computers! I really don't know what the reason. I check virus but not found using the latest virus diffinition. I will be glad if any one can give me suggestions!

Oracle 9i Application Server Problem!

I recently install Oracle 9i Application Server on my machine running Windows XP Professional. When I try to login to SQL *Plus, I got problem! I cannot log In because the user name, password, and hostring that I know "scott/tiger" is not working. I need help in this regard!

IT Development in Mizoram State!

We live the world of Computers today! Compuer is one of the most important tools and without computer live is incomplete now. Even in Mizoram, lots of people are having their own personal computer at home espcically in Aizawl City. People living in Remote or Rural Areas are also affected by Computers. Many of them came to Aizawl city to study computers and many of them are expected to came. None of us can say that I am not affected by Computer Age. So, in Mizoram, it is really Computer Age Now!!!

But I hope that we have different ideas on "How the Government is taking steps in IT Development in Mizoram." Some engineers will complain that the Government is not aware enought about IT and leading us in blind method. But ordinary people not having any technical knowledge and government administration will be happy enough by taking few advantages of IT Development in Mizoram.

So, what's your idea? This site is created for you! Lets shared ideas.
